| This CD contains no bagpipes. It isn't even terribly celtic, souding more like the bayou than the maritimes... but, despite those two drawbacks, I heartily recommend it. Dave has great songwriting skills and an engaging performance style. Much of this CD has a zydeco/Cajun feeling (uh, that's celtic by extension, right?). Several of the songs herein are now being done in Cuillin-style, by Cuillin, with piping and fiddling bits. Dave says, terrifyingly, that he supports his musical carre by ... acting! (Don't actors support their careers by bussing tables?) Give Dave a break and buy his CD. |
