Neil Anderson aka The Antipypr.
Neil has been the Patron Saint of Clan MacRogue since before he was born. As a founding member of
Seven Nations
™, Neil's trademark piping whizardry brought many of us into the realm of bagpipe geekdom. His playing combines excellent piping skills (highland, uillean, and occasionally other) and knowledge of traditional music with his love of jazz improvisation and Greatful-Dead style jamming, to come up with a sound that will remove your head from your shoulders. Neil sings beautifully, has an engaging stage presence, and displays a wicked sense of humor. All hail St. Neil.
Irish Music in America Volume Two was done in collaboration with Jimmy Kelly Jr., veteran of Irish pub scene in Albany NY. Bitchin' pipe sets from "Mr. St. Neil the Antypiper Sir," with bouyant renditions of fave Irish songs. A must for your ceilidh.
