Jimmy was brought to our attention when he joined forces with St Neil to form a gigging version of Full Circle. When not performing with Neil he can be found around Albany NY, performing at pubs and festivals as the Jimmy Kelly Band, along with his brother Denis and in the shadow of his father, who was also a touring Irish musician with The Galway Blazers.
Onstage Jimmy has a bouncy, infectious energy that demands you have a good time right along with him - he could get an entire audience to its feet to join him in the ridiculous dance moves of Scottish Disco," and he was memorably covered ina an inecplicable shower of unmentionables flung at him by appreciateve female fans during Full Circle's now-infamous St Pat's day at McGeary's in Albany. This CD capture's Kelly's bounciness in straightforward pip fashion, in a collection of original songs with catchy hooks and clever lyrics. We especially like Knock all the Walls Down, and Dear Mr. President. |
